How to Get Lucky

This is not a cook book, but a collection of recipes that Olya Oleinic gathered during her residency on Ojika Island (Nagasaki, Japan). Sometimes a bit lost in translation, it represents her attempts to connect to her new environment.

This book is part of a catalog series for the Ojika Artist in Island Program, which is supported by Ojika Town and Nagasaki Prefecture, as well as The Netherlands Embassy in Tokyo.

D Mortimer is a writer and artist from London interested in the crip unknown. Their first book Last Night a Beef Jerk Saved My Life was published by Pilot Press in 2021. Mortimer is a Techne scholar in trans auto fictions at The University of Roehampton. Their work concerns technologies of madness and their doctoral project is entitled, Beef Journals: Naming the Uncertain in Transgender Subject Formation.

Everyone is layered is a scrapbook zine and a collection of poems made of the do’s and don’ts sections of a fashion magazine.

Layering is a great way to play with cowgirls-gone-wild.

They're perky, edgy pretty with a tank peeking out under a sense of humour

their thongs hanging out

after a few hours something

just feel silly floaty, jus-past-your-waist

shapes are miserable,

shapeless ones hourglassy.

WHERE’S HER BUTT?

Publié en 2025 dans le cadre du projet d'art public The River as Habitat installé dans le Lycée Edward Steichen, Clervaux et commandité par l'administration des bâtiments publics, Luxembourg.

This zine is the result of the research residency "Plotting with the archive" that took place at Komplot between September 2025 and January 2026. The publication contains a subjective timeline of Komplot — its strategies, relations and projects — with the aim of organising them and at the same time speculating on possible future developments. The material was produced during a collective workshop in which the archive was explored and activated.
