Join us for a presentation of Bricks from the Kiln, a multifarious publishing imprint and irregular journal edited / run by Matthew Stuart and Andrew Walsh-Lister.
For the event at rile*, Matthew and Andrew will give a multi-voiced reading of an A to Z of BFTK and celebrate the release of three new standalone editions: Broken Villas by Helen Marten, tendentious | neo-semantics by Lily Greenham (+ Larry Wendt) and Working Through Objects by Susan Hiller (+ Sharon Kivland & Paul Buck).
About Bricks From The Kiln
Started in 2015, Bricks from the Kiln* is a semi-yearly journal and imprint for explorative and critical writing and research.
To date they have published six issues of the eponymous journal as well as a number of independent titles and editions, including As Celebration, As Critique, As Play: Ron Hunt, Selected Writings (1957–2020) and In the Bag by Paul Buck.
The three new standalone editions and recent issues will be for sale. Previous (sold out) volumes will be on display for browsing.
About the editors
Matthew and Andrew are typographers, editors and writers currently based between the United Kingdom and United States, respectively. Together they edit Bricks from the Kiln and also collaborate on other publishing, editorial, and curatorial projects.
